After your stroke, you can experience both progress and setbacks. Some days it seems like it is two steps forward, one step back. If you take time to stop and look at the big picture, can you see your progress?
Some tips to keep in mind to help your recovery after stoke:
Keep all therapy and doctor appointments.
Exercise daily –either at home, at your therapy appointments, or in the community.
Update your goals as you progress. If you’ve tackled a goal — celebrate and then make a new one!
Keep a journal of your recovery. It will help you see how far you’ve really come!
