Wheelchair Transfer Tips for Caregivers 

1. Align the wheelchair at a comfortable angle with the surface you’re moving toward.
2. Ensure the wheelchair brakes are locked before transferring to and from the wheelchair.
3. When lifting to transfer, use your legs and do not round your back! This can help prevent injury and ensure a safer transfer.
