Increase Your Water Intake This Summer

  • Have a glass of water after waking up
  • Have a glass of water 30 minutes before eating
  • Flavor your water with sliced fruits
  • Used a schedule to keep track of your water intake
  • Set a daily reminder to drink the required amount of water

How Much Water Should You Drink?

Not everyone needs to drink the same amount of water everyday.

  • Calculate your daily water intake: Take your weight in pounds and divide in half; this is how many ounces of water you need to drink.
  • Soda, coffee and other drinks can count towards your daily water intake — but aim for at least 1/2 of your daily fluid to be water.
  • Drink 10 additional ounces of water for every 30 minutes of exercise.
